Job Description:

The SAP Workflow Lead will be responsible for designing, planning and implementing workflow solutions with goal of quality, reusability, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and time-to market

The candidate must have extensive experience leading design and implementation of workflow solutions for global project(s)

This position will architect workflow in collaboration with functional and business users for current and future strategic benefits that are scalable and sustainable.

The lead is to bridge the requirements between workflow, business process and ECC with practical hands-on experience

The candidate will manage on and off-site resources to deliver high-quality workflow deliverables that meet or exceed market expectations

This role will be the workflow subject matter expert within COE and distribute workflow trends, tools and recommend continuing improvements

This includes knowledge of business objects, methods, containers, triggering events, strategies for role resolution

Further responsibilities include training, testing, defining operations and maintenance procedures and prototyping

Working with the business community

As an integral part of COE team, this role is expected to lead and collaborate with the rest of the teams to:

Present a clear strategy for SAP workflow and key business benefits to project stakeholders and executives

Conduct training programs for factory resources to enable adoption of architecture standards and guidelines for local market solutions

Assist in the implementation of a Global and local workflow solution

Provide day-to-day workflow administration support to the project teams across the non production sap systems and assist in production support during critical activities

Contribute to the development of an operational and support model for workflow

Define and maintain COE workflow standards, procedures, policies, and strategies

Requirements:

Develop tools and templates to facilitate easy adoption of workflow standards and guidelines

Detailed knowledge with practical experiences in SAP workflow methodologies, best practices and implementation

Deep understanding of dependencies between SAP Technical Development and other SAP implementation activities such as configuration, landscape and system planning and security

General understanding of the other process areas (e.g. Supply Chain, Finance, Go-To-Market)

Strong experience in ABAP programming and testing tools

Manage, design and develop the workflow scenarios, Business Object Repository (BOR) and custom development

Experience to drive workflow initiatives striking the right balance among competing priorities: quality, cost, scope and schedule

Ability to coordinate technical resources across COE, local market and factory in a virtual work environment

Possess good decision making skills

Excellent writing and communication skills are critical, including the ability to translate a functional design spec into a technical design spec and implement

Be organized and capable of multi-tasking

B.A. or B.S. in applicable field

Minimum of 10 years of IT experience with 5+ years of SAP implementation experience.
4+ year's hands-on SAP workflow experience

3+ years of large-scale SAP implementation experience

Experienced in developing strategic plans with roadmap

Works well in a team environment and develop business partner relationships with clients

Plan and lead the adoption of workflow standards and guidelines

Design and implement a workflow operations and maintenance strategy

Project management and leadership skills are required

Proactive individual with little to no supervision

It would to have ECC 6.0 and HR module

Experienced in Workflow performance issue resolution and optimization is helpful.
Experience with advanced workflow techniques like table driven parallel processing, complicated role design/programming
