Seeking a Web Interface Developer to be part of a cross-functional agile (Scrum) development team working on our corporate public website based on the IBM Portal framework. A successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of the many aspects of presentation layer code including multi-browser compatibility, browser performance optimization, SEO, and accessibility. Furthermore, the candidate should have significant experience working with application developers and incorporating HTML into application code (e.g. jsp, asp, php). IBM Portal experience would be a very significant plus.

Beyond technical skills, the candidate must have good communication skills and the ability to work within an agile scrum team. Prior experience working in a formal Agile development methodology is highly desired.

The contractor will be responsible for the creation of concept, design, testing and maintenance of web sites, pages and applications. Must be proficient in current HTML standards and aware of the differences between all the HTML version standards as adopted by the W3C, as well as future W3C standards, which are constantly being developed. Must be proficient in JavaScript, DHTML, and XML. Must be able to write server-side dynamic web pages such as Java Server Pages (JSP). Must know how to optimize all formats for online viewing. Must be able to write and debug code in straight text format, without the help of a GUI interface.

Must have:

1. Extensive knowledge of themes and skins
2. 1 to 3 years experience in working on Websphere Portal 6.0,6.1
3. Extensive knowledge in CSS, Java Scripting, JSF, XSLT, Photoshop, DOJO

Nice to have:

JAVA, XML, JSTL, Teamsite, sIFR
