Job Description:

Incumbent will assume an application development position in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) IT organization with oversight from the Company's Application Development Competency Center. In this role, incumbent will participate in the design, development, implementation, and both on and off hour support of EHS oriented applications supporting global corporate EHS operations.

As a member of the Development Competency Center, incumbents may be required to provide technical assistance, mentoring, and consulting to other IT associates.

Incumbent may be expected to assume a leadership position on projects to which they are assigned.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be expected to provide technical and managerial direction to a project team as well as assume responsibility for setting and meeting any project milestones.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree

Required: 2+ to 5 years of experience.

The position requires demonstrated .NET development experience and experience with the Microsoft development toolsets (.NET, ASP, VB, HTML, DHTML, XML, etc.) as well as an in depth understanding of both Oracle and SQL Server databases, including experience developing queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views

The incumbent will also have an understanding of SQL (Oracle and/or SQL Server)

The position requires a high degree of analytical skills to solve problems, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, and the ability to work independently and deliver solutions on time and on budget.

Although this is primarily a development role, duties will include requirements definition with users, design, implementation, and overall support, including infrastructure support and the coordination, management, and execution of system upgrades.
