Essential Functions: 500 stores retailer
• Lead, plan and execute the merchandising strategies of the business to achieve sales and profit goals
through focus on quality, value and fresh alternatives
• Build high performance teams through selection, teaching and coaching of staff in a culture of
“Respect for People”
• Maintain awareness of market trends, competitive strategies, consumer trends and overall C-Store
industry information to be progressive and out perform the competition
• Design and direct new food programs and the roll-out of product launches to drive profitable business
growth
• Partner across the enterprise with marketing, finance and accounting, GEBS, OP&E and IS to drive
business strategy and process improvement
• Work directly with GEBS to build the right processes to achieve operational excellence
• Develop and continuously improve the store “prototype” to optimize the business relative to the core
competencies of each format
• Drive pricing and promotional strategies to maximize sales and negotiates with vendors to grow the
business
• Lead business planning, budgeting, and analysis of the business to develop innovative approaches to
achieving the overall strategy
• Work with Specialists and Category Managers to plan and execute the defined merchandising strategies
for
