Are you a celebrity gossip junkie? Do you follow celebs on Twitter? Are you a TV fan who can't miss a single episode of your favorite show? Does your passion lie in music and film? If so, we are looking for you.
TheCelebrityCafe.com is one of the Internet's premiere entertainment magazines. Since 1995, TheCelebrityCafe.com has been providing its readers with up to the minute news, exclusive interviews, television recaps, and one of the Internet's largest collections of music and film reviews. We are actively seeking aspiring entertainment reporters to work as editorial interns for the Summer 2010 semester. This internship is 120 hours work in a virtual office. It is unpaid, and credit is available though not required.
Interns will provide daily content in the form of news briefs, television recaps, and music and film reviews. They will learn the ins and outs of online media, establish a web presence with a known online source, and promote their work via social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter. They may earn the opportunity to participate in some of our many exclusive interviews with popular celebrities from around the world.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written communication skills, be comfortable with working in a virtual office, demonstrate a record of responsibility and reliability, and have a passion for entertainment and pop culture. They will have knowledge of current pop culture events and personalities, and have a basic understanding of social media and online networking. An English or journalism background of study is preferred but not required.
Interested applicants should send their resume, cover letter and 2-3 writing samples by email to managing editor John Neal at neal[at]thecelebritycafe[dot]com.
Interns should be available to start no later than June 1. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
