Job Title: Senior Tivoli Administrator
Job Location: Mountain View, CA
Job Type: 6 months plus Contract

Position is set for 6 months + (extension is "very likely") and may eventually roll perm. (This is a major implementation project for the end-client which may require a perm resource to work with IBM and the Tivoli system)

Requirements:
- 3+ years experience with developing mission critical web applications in the financial services sector;
- Experience with ASP.NET, XSLT, XPATH, SQL Server, Java Script, XML and web services;
- Knowledge of the IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.2 architecture and components;
- Ability to implement, install, configure and maintain an IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.2 solution based on customer requirements;
- Working knowledge of IBM OPAL - Best Practices and Tools for IT Service Management website
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support and maintain the monitoring infrastructure using IBM Tivoli Monitoring tools and monitoring external tools;
- Create a strategy for monitoring new services;
- Identify the requirements for availability and the performance objectives for uptime availability;
- Do data analysis to pinpoint problematic areas and evaluate the problems with the stakeholders;
- Analyze and model performance data on capacity and performance of mission critical services.

Summary:
The Sr. Tivoli Administrator will be designing and developing end-to-end monitoring solution support for all of the end-client's production services. Also, handling the reporting aspect of availability, reliability and serviceability of all client services. This position requires a complete understanding of the application life cycle and basic application infrastructure design.
