Formal Job Description:

WAN Tools Support Engineer

Install, integrate and maintain a suite of wide-area network management tools including HP Network Node Manager (NNM), Network Automation (HPNA), and OpenView Performance Insight (OVPI) for two large-scale wide-area networks. Provide Tier 3 application and system support for the network management environment. Insure seamless integration of commercial off-the-shelf applications to present a comprehensive and continuous status of each network element. Act as subject matter expert for all deployed network management applications.

Excellent Unix systems administration and application support skills. Strong internetworking skills in an IP environment. Familiarity with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), configuration management practices and operational support requirements of a large wide-area network.
