Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Duration: Fulltime (Permanent)
Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Job description:

Client is looking for highly skilled Java developers to work on enterprise and web applications, and infrastructure. Candidates should have 5 years or more professional development experience and at least a Bachelors degree in Computer Science. We value intelligence, creativity, quality, technical leadership, and a strong interest to learn.

The ideal candidate must have:
• Strong Java SE skills, preferably through release 1.5.
• Solid SQL ability.
• Experience with object Relational Mapping (ORM) Hibernate would be the preferred tool. (Ibatis and others may be acceptable)

Required:
• Proficiency in Object Oriented design and programming..
• Experience using web presentation technologies such as JSP, JSF, Ajax, Jamon, Velocity, or FreeMarker.
• Use of web container technologies, especially Tomcat (preferred). Java EE would work
• Proficiency with IDE-based development, especially in Eclipse.
• Every senior Developer should have this. Like a carpenter with a hammer just one of the must have tools for the trade.
• Experience with Maven
• Experience with ant maybe acceptable depending on other experience.
• Development on Linux - this is pretty important
• Proficiency building unit tests, especially using JUnit.
• Proficiency with Ant, and SVN or CVS.
• Candidate must have some type of source code control system.
• XML and related technologies such as XSD, JAXB, XSLT, etc.
• Experience with large databases and systems. SQL is the key one thing that will set this candidate apart is large database systems that are high performance systems.
