Our client is seeking a Microsoft developer to be part of a highly energetic Global Operations Office Automation development team. You must be well-versed with Excel VBA application and macro development, Microsoft Access as well as MS Office 2007 automation in general. You will be responsible for developing an application with a SQL Server 2005 back end database and an ASP.NET (3.5) web-based front end, either VB.NET or C#.NET. You must be detail oriented, well organized have solid oral and written communication skills. You should be comfortable working in a geographically diverse environment. You should possess a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment where flexibility, speed, creativity and accuracy are paramount. Principal Responsibilities:
• Rapid development of Microsoft-based desktop solutions across multiple platforms (ASP.NET, Access, SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
• Developing Access and Excel applications and macros using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
• Working with SQL Server 2005

Experience/Skills:
• VB.NET and/or C#.NET development skills required
• .NET 3.5 / Visual Studio 2008 Pro
• Web development
• Microsoft Certification a plus
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Access development skills required (3 years minimum)
• Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language required
• Experience creating Excel and Access applications required
• Ability to debug and/or enhance existing VBA applications required
• Ability to analyze existing Macros and VBA code required
• MS Office automation using MS products like Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server 2005 and SQL language
• Relational database design experience required
• Ability to write intermediate/advanced level SQL queries and Stored Procedures by hand required
• Strong verbal problem-solving and follow-up skills required
• Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently, as well as within a team
• Must enjoy collaborating with other developers
• Must be the kind of person who is always looking for and is open to exploring alternative ways to solve problems
• Business Analyst skills a plus
• Ability to communicate clearly with end users, development managers and other stakeholders
