Job Title: Data Architecture
Location: Houston, TX.
Duration: 70 Days Contract
Project Description
To date, COB data architects have been charged with delivering their respective elements of the Reference Data Architecture, and have delivered top priority elements of this architecture. However, ongoing progress is proving to be slow due to the need for cross-COB coordination for more complex objects.
These reference data architecture elements are especially valuable, as they are a foundation both for Streamline and MI to improve process definition and integration and the supporting data definitions. Additionally, key Downstream-wide initiatives such as REACh, SmartManufacturing, GPMR, and Data Harmonization Tool depend on these models being in place. Additionally, we contribute to Group data architecture initiatives where these models are a required input into establishing data ownership and governance and Enterprise Data Catalogue (EDC).
This project will bring the required focus and delivery power to produce the Downstream-wide elements of the Reference Data Architecture, starting with the Downstream Canonical Data Model as a top priority.
Special attention to assign Shell resources will be made to develop our staff and grow our talent pipeline.
Scope of work:
• Assemble the Canonical Data Model from the elements delivered by the COB
• Resolve overlap/conflicts between the COB data designs
• Produce the Conceptual Model in parallel of the Canonical Model
• Produce the Mastership Model
Delivery will focus on top priority elements immediately beneficial to projects so that we get early value. This BRS will run until year end.
Deliverables:
• PM deliverables: budget and progress reporting according to PDF.
• Canonical Data Model of priority 1 elements for REACh, SmartManufacturing, GPMR and DHT in System Architect, aligned to data architecture standards.
• Conceptual Data Model of priority 1 elements for REACh, SmartManufacturing, GPMR and DHT in System Architect, aligned to data architecture standards.
• Mastership Model of priority 1 elements for REACh, SmartManufacturing, GPMR and DHT in System Architect, aligned to data architecture standards.
• Reference Data Architecture Tracker and KPIs updated at project completion.
