Job Title: QA Tester
Location Houston, TX.
Duration: 6-12 Months

Web Application Tester Profile:

Web applications tester with minimum of 4 yrs experience in manual and automated testing of B2B/B2C apps.
Analyzes functional requirements to determine software application testing requirements develops test plans and acceptance criteria.
Coordinates software system testing and production implementation verification with IS/IT staff and customer testers.
Tracks defects reported, assist with training and facilitate resolution and closure.
Facilitates testing status meetings, collects and reports status of testing progress and sign offs.
Responsible for test planning, test script writing and responsible for test execution as needed. Reviews unit test results before customer testing is allowed to begin.
Ensures a complete testing matrix is in place by tracing requirements to test cases.
Responsible for testing done at different phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) that includes unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, system testing, acceptance testing (often performed by the internal or external client), regression testing and operability testing.

Web Application Tester Technical Skill Set:

Good experience on following:
Web Applications Automated and Manual Testing.
Involvement in testing of Migration of legacy J2EE apps to newer technologies.
HP Quality Center/HP QTP/HP Performance Center/HP VuGen.
Bug Tracking Tools (JIRA/Bugzilla/Mantis)
Source Control tools.
SQL statements.
Project Life Cycle Methodology (Agile).
Test development, setup and execution, test requirements analysis and planning.
Insurance Industry knowledge/experience is a plus.
Business Analyst Experience is a plus.
Good communication (very important!) and organizational skills.
